Reflux: Acid reflux can mimic cardiac chest pain and it is from irritation of the esophagus so stop your coffee cigarettes if you smoke and take an antacid if it persists see a GI doc.

Absolutely: Absolutely yes. Classically, acid reflux causes a burning sensation in the center of your chest which is sometimes worsened with certain foods and positional changes. Rarely, you may experience a sour taste at the back of your tongue. Coffee is a common cause of acid reflux.
