Accurate: The a is probably just a marker used at the specific lab. The titer count is meaningless. This test is designed to be positive or negative. Being positive means you have been infected with herpes simplex now called herpes type one. 75% of americans have this infection. The igg antibody also represents the fact that this infection is an old infection and not in any way new or recent.
