Is it normal to have cramps and a gassy stomach for a few days after sex?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Dale Carrison
33 years experience in Emergency Medicine
Depends?: Does this occur every time or just this time? Penis to vagina sex only, or oral or rectal sex? All this factors into the answer. Oral sex with blowing into the vagina can result in sever abdominal pain. Rectal sex can result in abdominal pain, possible infection from minor to major. With normal penis to vaginal sex there shouldn't be the problems described. Psychological problems can also exist.
