Many possibilities: Pain on the lower left side in a young woman is usually an ovarian cyst but there are many other things that need to be checked as well. The most dangerous possibility is a pregnancy in the fallopian tube that could be ruled out with a negative pregnancy test. Kidney stones are usually severe, sharp and hurt from your back all the way to the groin.

More info needed: While left lower abdominal pain may be caused by ovarian or kidney issues, there are other possible causes. Unfortuneately your question cannot be answered without much more information from you and physical exam. Other tests might be necessary. If you have severe pain, fever, or cannot hold down fluids, go to an er. If you have unusual pain that is not going away, see a doctor asap.
