Dr. Marc Neff answered

Appendicitis chronic: Appendicitis typical follows the pattern of dull ache, to sharp pain, constant, around the belly button and migrating to the right lower quadrant. Often associated with nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, fever, and malaise. Symptoms gradually progress over 24-48 hours. Chronic appendicitis is a very rare diagnosis, have only seen a few times in my career, and lack of appetite wasn't a symptom.
