Tell your physician: Go to him/her first. He/she will probably know how to share what you've told in a way that is more likely to produce a favorable outcome. Parents are likely to accept what they need to hear from a respected doctor rather than directly from you. I'm sorry your home situation isn't one with trust and openness, but a physician / counselor's intervention is likely to improve things.
