No difference: There really should be no difference in your exercise routine on your period. You can do whatever you normally do. Now, you may have cramps or be fatigued and that might affect your performance but you will not do any damage by exercising during menstruation. In fact, it may help with cramping and energy and mood!

Tampon: You could use a tampon for swimming. Otherwise, there really should not be a problem with exercising on your period.
