Get an EKG / Holter: You are describing an irregular heart beat or arrhythmia. While very short-lived arrhythmias are very common and not dangerous or concerning, it would be a good idea to see your doctor. He/she will want to do an ekg and possibly a holter monitor which is like an ekg that you could wear for a day or longer to try to catch one of the rapid heart beat episodes when they occur.
