Med not working: For a 16 year old male with well-documented bronchial asthma, use of a rescue inhaler, like albuterol, more than 2-3 times weekly indicates poor asthma control. If Qvar is not helping with the wheezing, coughing attacks, and mild shortness of breath, request that you be tried on something else.
