Hiccups: Hiccups are common in all people. Usually this means involuntary air swallowing and spontaneous diaphragmatic contractions. 4-5 times/day may not be anything abnormal unless there certain causes. Based on your history, i see nothing to suspect and the best way to address it would be to see your doc where you can provide all the details about your condition.

Medical examination: A medical examination may help disclose the underlying cause of your hiccups. I notice you take herbal medications and zoloft (sertraline). If there is anything new in your regimen then, that could be either causing or exacerbating the condition. Also, the interaction with zoloft (sertraline) may be important.
