Probably: Anesthetic "-caine" creams, like emla, (lidocaine and prilocaine) have been applied safely to mucous membrane surfaces (like the inside of the anus). Common uses include the areas of the vagina and cervix, for minor procedures and to the penis. Caution should be used in an around the anus and i would not recommending this compound on any open sores or wounds (like, for example, an anal fissure or tear).
