No: Sudafed is mainly a nasal decongestant to help dry your nose up and help out breathe better. Albuterol helps open up you bronchioles in the lung so you have less wheezing and chest congestion.

Albuterol and sudafe: Albuterol is a beta agonist which means it opens up the lungs so you can breathe better when the drug binds with the receptors for the lungs. Sudafed is a decongestant that causes the congestion in the nose to be reduced which makes it easier to breathe in the nasal area . They both make you breathe better but they work by utilizing different mechanisms. Hope that helped.
