Pluerisy-normal: What you are describing is called "pleuritic" pain which occurs when the lining of your lungs are inflamed. If you have a common viral induced "cold" or bronchitis this symptom will gradually abate on its own. If the pain gets worse or if you start spiking a fever it may be a good idea to see a physician for consideration of antibiotics.

Bronchitis: When you are coughing up colored sputum you have a bacterial infection and you need antibiotics. The chest pain is probably a bronchitis that will respond to antibiotics nicely. Make an appoiment with your family medical doctor. Good luck feel better!
