Symptoms: Retinal detachment (rd) commonly causes flashing lights in the vision, scores of floaters and rapid changes in the vision. It is almost always in one eye only. Risk factors include higher degrees of myopia, trauma, intraocular surgery and conditions like diabetes. If you have any of these symptoms, see your ophthalmologist for evaluation.
