Need Screening: Vaginal bleeding a year after hysterectomy is unsual and not likely due to the surgery itself. Though the cause is likely multifactorial and benign, any type of cancer or malignancy must be ruled out through regular screening. Cancers of the ovary, vagina can still happen even after the uterus is removed. Hence the need for survelliance cannot be overstated. Your GYN doctor can assist you further.
