A member asked:

My right eye has been twitching continuously for the past four months, i also have a slight facial numbness on the right side of my face.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See Neurologist: Twitching of an eyelid is not rare and results from spontaneous firing off of a twig (branch) of the facial nerve(viith cranial nerve). However, numbness of the face, if it is truly present, is the result of lack of innervation of the trigeminal nerve (vth cranial nerve). Inasmuch as these nerves arise from the brain, i would consult a neurologist for an appropriate diagnosis.
