Doble edge sword: Although this antibiotic is most effective when taken on an empty stomach- it can cause GI upset and nausea. I usually advise taking it and eating promptly 1-2 hours after ingestion. If stomach problems persist, take it with food, although it will delay absorption. Avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods as it may cause a photosensitive skin reaction.
