Complex diagnosis: Unable to evaluate your doctor's decision, but must emphasize that many docs have a hard time understanding whether MRI lesions are specific for ms or another condition. If you also have lesions on cervical MRI or brain lesions change, that would be better confirmation of ms. So, suggest a followup study at 6 months. Second opinion may be in order.

Treatment for MS: If your doctor is not treating you for MS, perhaps they do not think you have MS. It could be also that they do not feel you would benefit from treatment, though this would be surprising. Muscle spasms can be a symptom of MS, but there are usually other symptoms that help make the diagnosis clear. How is your vitamin D level? A lot of neurologists feel this vitamin helps reduce MS symptoms
