Need an exam: You need an exam, either by gynecologist or at least family practitioner. It might me miscarriage, infection, etc. Better not to guess and get yourself checked up.

No, : The color of your period is normally not of clinical significance. Brown signifies older, deoxygenated blood being cleaned from the uterus. A period that lasts longer than a week isn't normal. However, if you haven't been checked out for irregularity - that would be a good reason to see your gynecologist. Take care.
