How many teeth does an 18 month child have?

12-16 teeth: For most babies, the 4 molars erupt around 15-17 months. The canines, or eye-teeth, usually come in by 18-20 months. However, there is a lot of variation amongst different children.

Range: Some may have only about 4 up and down (8) but is more common for there to be about 6 up and 6 down. 4 front top/bottom and 2 molars top/bottom. The molars may not be in but should be coming soon. If the child has more great, if less don't be too worried. Know that you should take your child to the dentist at age one so maybe they are due.
