A member asked:

Could quitting smoking lower your blood pressure too much if on hypertension medicine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: and if it did, what a great bonus for you. quit smoking and you will lower your risk a host of chronic diseases, ie cardiovascular disease, cancer, COPD etc., and if you have the result of lowering your BP so much to come off your anti-hypertension medication, then you have killed two birds with one stone so to speak. Good luck with that endeavor.
