Burnt skin?: I am not sure your exact problem. I have not heard of toothpaste burning any skin surface. The gingival in your mouth is skin related. I will need more information. Toothpaste is only effective to clean teeth.

Toothpaste: Let iTy heal on its own. You could put some antibacterial triple antibiotic oinent on it in a thin layer of its a bad burn. How did you do this? Did the toothpaste get on your face? If it's burning you mouth switch to a non flavored/mild flavored tooth paste such as sensodyne

Off-label use: There is inherent risk in using any medicine, prescription or OTC, for uses other than those listed in the instructions. Toothpaste is designed to be used inside the mouth, not on facial skin. It's not designed to be used to treat acne, although many people think it will cure facial blemishes. Inside the mouth, you only need a pea-sized portion on your toothbrush. Please see your physician.
