A member asked:

What to do if i have bulky uterus with inhomogenous coarse myometrial echoes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adenomyosis: Inhomogenous myometrial echos on ultrasound can be a sign of adenomyosis, which is a growth of endometrium into the muscle of the uterus (used to be called 'endometriosis interna'). Adenomyosis can cause heavy, painful bleeding. If clinically needed a MRI of the uterus can give more information about the presence of adenomyosis. A common treatment for suspected adenomysis is hysterectomy
