Unethical: It is unethical for a qualified Orthodontic Specialist to treat your medical problem (obesity). If requested by, and monitored by, your Physician your Orthodontist may assist in care prescribed by the Physician or internist. A safer, less invasive, proven successful path would be for your Physician to refer you to a nutritionist. Ultimately safe weight loss is your responsibility.
