A member asked:

I've been taking birth control for about a year. evey time i missed a pill i usually only bleed for a couple days. this time for 9 days now. why is that?

Pill usage: Oral contraception is designed to be used every day at the same time each day. The dosages are so minimal, that "skipping or forgetting" pills will result in "breakthrough bleeding". If this is a regular occurrence for you an alternative contraceptive method may be considered.
