Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of this elevated circle with dry scaly skin in between?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinea corporis: Tinea corporis (ringworm) is a fungal infection of the skin generally characterized (intially) by a red raised round patch, followed by central clearing and an advancing border. Treatment is with topical antifungals. Salicylic acid is not a recommended treatment for ringworm.
