A member asked:

Is maintaining constant heartrate part of homeostasis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Part of it: The heart rate resting tells how well you are functioningt. The heart is like a machine, the more work it has to do, the faster it will stop working. The better functioning it is with a low resting heart rate (not something so low that it causes symptoms), the faster you recovery from exercise, the better shape you are which signals the better balance you have internally.
