Ultrasound diagnosis: You should take a pregnancy test, it is negatived the ultrasound (u) is correct in not diagnosing a pregnancy that does not exist. If the test is +, ask a OB for her advice and repeat the u to get a gestational age. Good luck.

No: If your pregnancy test is negative then there was no need for a sonogram. An eight week pregnancy would have a positive pregnancy test and would be very easy to see on a sonogram.
