Docs help! what is the main difference between crps and neuropathy (legs)? both sound eerily similar.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neuropathy vs CRPS: Crps-1 has involvement of blood flow to the skin and bones, so it is often seen with initial heat, then cooling, edema, cyanosis, and may cause loss of range and local bone calcium. It is felt to be a spinal cord problem that began and manifests in a limb commonly and skin is hypersensitive. Neuropathy involves peripheral nerves, numbness, burning and electrical shooting pain is more common.
