Increases risk of ca: Obesity increases the risk of developing many cancers. It may have something to do with the associated high Insulin like growth factor levels which cause increased cellular growth and possible stimulation of cancer formations.

Obesity cancer: Obesity has been linked to over 20 different medical conditions ranging from hypertension to reflux disease. The higher estrogen levels in obese females has been linked to a variety of gynecological malignancies. Also, screening tests are more difficult to perform in the morbidly obese, like mammograms and colonoscopies thus impacted the success of those screening tests in identifying malignancy.
