Traction: It helps to fight the effects of gravity. As it elongates the neck, the height of the disc becomes taller. This increases water content and blood flow to the area. Unfortunately, this is not a sustained effect. You cannot fight gravity permanently!

See details: Used properly, both over-the-door and motorized cervical traction units can be very helpful. Traction helps to relieve pressure on nerve roots and reduce muscle spasm.
