Can std's show up up months up months after intercourse?

Yes: Of the dozen or more infections that can pass during sex, some can show up soon and be obvious while others can hide for years. Some hpv strains can remain hidden for decades before your pap smear changes and shows possible changes of cancer. If you are sexually active, let your doc know so they can test you for those with the most troublesome effects on your health.

STDs: Show up? Or be able to be tested? Viruses such as hepatitis and HIV can take many weeks, if not months, before routine testing would pick them up. Herpes also can take some time before even the 'early' tests are reliable. Syphilis can take at least six weeks to show symptoms and then testing is difficult early on. So, yes, there are a number of stds that are hard to confirm early on.

Yes: Can be asymptomatic for a while with std's. Please use condoms every time to help protect yourself. If you think you have an std see a doctor and get tested and treated asap.
