Sleep deprivation: (ie going without sleep), unless you're sheduled for an EEG, has a generally negative effect on physical health, mood, anxiety, weight control, alertness, driver safety, occupational safety, blood pressure, heart attack, ADHD... the list goes on .Get your 8hrs! Or as close as you can get. If you dont feel rested after a full nights sleep on a regular basis, see ur doc!

Sleep deprivation: Symptoms of sleep deprivation can include irritability, feeling tired, poor concentration, decreased memory, changes in appetite, poorer ability to handle stress, lack of comprehension with social interactions. In severe cases it can lead to pyschosis !!

Some -: Sleep deprivatin syndrome can leave you able to do most mental tasks, but slowly, like wading thru jello. They take longer, you lose track. Sometimes sleep comes anyway for milliseconds or a bit more - hard to keep track of things. Some people stay up later to get things finished - and get less sleep! Treat it seriously and get back on track. Sleep really matters.
