After you miss: You can test as early as the morning after you miss your first period if you are doing a home urine test. Earlier blood tests can be ordered by your doctor if you want to know faster.

Hpt: At least one early pregnancy test product states it can provide results 6 days prior to a missed period. The company states it is > 99% accurate the day of the expected period. If you are using a standard pregnancy test would wait until you miss a period. If negative and still no period would repeat HPT in a week. Take care.

About two weeks : After a missed period. Hpts start turning positive about 10 days after a missed period. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the package, closely. You may see your doctor for a blood test 3-4 days after missed period for a more sensitive test.

1-2 weeks : Don't guess. Take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.

10 days: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.
