Sure!: But any fracture can be serious, depending on the cause of the fracture, how severe it is, other injuries, and the overall state of the person's health and the quality of the treatment. This is so for anybody with a fracture. The elderly can have complicating illnesses that make fractures riskier than in younger healthy people, but lots of elderly folks break bones and heal just fine.
