A member asked:

What is the earliest age you would consider placing a pediatric patient on oral anti-fungal medication such as terbinafine?

Not my 1st choice: We have guidelines for Griseofulvin use in toddlers (harriet lane handbook) and terbinafine in kids over 4 (nelson's pediatric antimicrobial therapy). I have more experience with the Griseofulvin so that is my 1st line. The warnings on terbinafine make me reluctant to use it as first line.

2 and 4: For the nail issues at 2 y/o, for unresponsive times at 4 y/o. Make sure to monitor ANC closely.
