Best done: Home pregnancy tests are best done around the time when the expected period would be. They accuracy of they test goes up the further away from this date, so it may be prudent to repeat a hpt in a week if it is negative initially.

Hpt: If you have been sexually active and have missed your period then you can go ahead and take a home pregnancy test (HPT) now. If negative and still no period would repeat HPT in a week. Take care.
