Yes: Blood from whatever animal can be extremely risky but in the human condition there are a host of infectious and communicable (i.e. Able to be transmitted) diseases that one could contract such as hepatitis, hiv/aids, prion diseases which are nearly 100% fatal in short spans of time from infection. Any regular consumption of blood by humans can also lead to accumulation of iron or hemochromatosis.
