Need the diagnosis: Successful therapy is achieved by treating the cause of the disease, not the symptom. If you just treat the symptoms you will at best get temporary relief. If you treat the cause, you can get rid of the problem and the symptoms. Remember, without a diagnosis, its just a guessing game. Rec.: see your pcp for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.

First diagnose cause: Urinary infection has to be ruled out if ; when u have burning sensation when u urinate. This means a urinalysis, which if positive also requires urine culture. Infection should be treated with anyibiotics and burning sensation usually responds to pyridium (phenazopyridine).

Depends: On the cause of the burning. If it is due to irritation, topical antibiotics or steroids may be helpful if due std like herpes or other lesions ir fungal infections specific topicals will help.
