How to avoid keratosis pilaris?

Skin hydration: (regular application of mild lotion, such as cetaphil) may help with the roughness of keratosis pilaris, but often it requires specific therapy. There is no known way to completely prevent keratosis pilaris.

Pilaris keratosis: There is no way to prevent this condition. I have found that aha/bha (alphahydroxy acid /beta hydroxy acid) works well to keep it at bay.
