Not sure what you: Are really feeling, since we don't feel "itching" in a lung, but on the skin or tissues right under the skin. If you are having sensations on your right chest when you cough, you may think the mucus is coming from the right lung, but there is no way to know that. If you are coughing and bringing up a lot of phlegm, it is likely from smoking, but only an examination can rule out infection etc.
