Back pain or kidney stone? pain happens in lower back only and switches sides. the pain only lasts a few seconds. still using the bathroom as normal

Unlikely kidney ston: Kidney stone pain usually on one side / doe not switch sides unless bilateral stones. Pain usually doesn't go away after few seconds. Suggest x-ray of abdomen to exclude kidney stones since most stones are visible on a plainb x-ray.
