Please help docs! is lomotil (diphenoxylat and atropine) good for slowing down an ileostomy?

Yes: Lomotil is one of several things that can be used to slow ileostomy output. Imodium (loperamide) is also effective in most patients. Fiber can also slow and thicken the output. You should work with your gastroenterologist or surgeon to manage the output and make sure there isn't something going on to make the output increased.
