Can you explain if it's unsafe to split tagamet 300 (cimetidine) in half?

Probably okay: The original tagamet (cimetidine) was 150 mg the 300 is a double strength. Its best to ask your physician who prescribed it but if this is simply for acid reflux or occasional gastritis its probably safe.
