Missed period: Might be. If absolutely certain you could not be pregnant, then one possibility is a missed ovulation. Younger women who haven't yet developed a stable, predictable cycle may sometimes miss an ovulation. The lining of the uterus will remain until the next cycle when ovulation occurs, and the flow from that may be heavier than usual. If it goes on much longer, however, best to see your doctor.
