How does eczema spread and does it always?

It does not spread: Eczema is genetic and highly variable. It is not an infection, it is not contagious. It is not an allergy. We know a great deal about how to control it. Vigorous, prolonged scratching may result in wider involvement (koebner phenomenon). Usually it is itchy and dry. See a dermatologist for help.
