Breastfeeding: In general, good candidates for breast-feeding while taking psychotropic medications are mothers with stable illness in a supportive environment and a healthy normal weight child. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics' 10% or less rule, most psychotropic medications are compatible with breast feeding.
