A member asked:

Can a female use monostat 7 with her period on to clear up a yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Best to wait: When treating a vaginal yeast infection, it is best to wait until after your period to treat with vaginal creams. Waiting until the bleeding stops will allow the medication to be present in the vagina longer, allowing better absorption of the medication, and hence better treatment.
