A member asked:

Other than pregnancy, can stressing about a late period delay it? if so, what level of stress can cause it? having a meltdown or just worrying daily?

Should not delay it: If you are trying to get pregnant, and aren't already, stress can play into delaying this. However, once conception happens, the pregnancy isn't delayed. So, it's important for you to get enough rest, be on a healthy diet, prenatal vitamin support if you want to be pregnant, and reduce your stress levels. Stress releases cortisol and other neurotransmitters, even when worrying that isn't good for mother or baby.

Doubt that fretting: alone will cause a late period. Stress levels need to be high to cause this.
