A member asked:

Is there a difference between hormones controlling early pregnancy and that controlling pms ( causing headache, breast tenderness)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormones: There are two major hormones in the non-pregnant women that are responsible for her symptoms during the cycle - estrogen and progesteron. During pregnancy again estrogen and progesteron are present and playing important roles, but there are other hormones present that are not present in a non-pregnant woman such as HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin. That's why pregnancy has different symptoms.
